alex kork, founder of 9volt presents 4 great minimal-techno tracks on plattenbau-music. alex also released on relax. he did his first steps producing electronic music already in his youth. experiments with self-made oscillators, noise generators, synthesizers and sequencers he was always in searching for new sounds. as techno found the way in his hometown in the early 90s he was flashed by the new sound. as hydro he played on a lot of events and also he organised own parties. since founding the cannibal cooking club together with error in 1999 they play as liveact in the clubs. the own label for their crazy and unique sound was born in 2003. his label 9volt-musik was founded in 2006. focussed on the sound he likes, its a platform for his own productions and friends.

this is the 4th and final release from our shake shakir re-issue series. three total corkers from the don!!! features an exclusive track, the other one.... tip! >the floor filler< is exactly as the title says. this disco frenzied track was originally released in 1997 as part of club scam ii. the track is still a valid club tool and will fill a floor for sure! >plugged in< is also taken from the same ep and reminds of carl craigs paperclip people tracks of that era. disco meets techno! on the flip we find >the other one< which is a track from the vault and has never before been released. detroit house doesnt come any better than this...

b1: hit me slowly - hit me slowly takes the tempo down from the a side, keeping the hypnotic house vibes going. a slow groover with an awesome bass line. got that outer space feel!
b2: argo - more of a traditional house tempo on this one. focused on the deep popping bass line. lots going on around but the bass is what makes this stand out. cool little samples echo all over. the synth hook adds the hypnotic element to tie it in with the other tracks on the ep. big, big track!

manmade is back again with another collection of floor filling club bangers. this time with busta, one of the uprising beat kings from down under, timothy wisdom & the funk hunters, out of canada, with another shining example for unbelievable mashup work, and the well known funky breakbeat builder jayl funk from bavaria. as you expect cmc&silenta did it again with something for the ladies on the dance floor. check out the dynamite side! two versions on here, couldnt decide which one is better, both are killer tunes in different ways.

italian uprising artist frankyeffe is the one to continue the dark tradition on 43 recordings, and he does well just as he does on his every weeks residency on the traintek partys at romes rashomoon club playing alongside people like speedy j, edit select or sasha carassi and many more icons of real techno. he keeps things simple, but very effective, music which is nothing more or less than produced for causing riots during on the dancefloor peaktime. xhins remix on the flip is a really experimental apporach to the original, trcky rythms and he managed to create a totally new essence of the track. masterpiece of remixing, so dont be scared to try this on the dancefloor.

seven 7inches in seven months - hamburg s pingipung label surprises fans and music lovers with a vinyl series called summer of seven. from april to october 2011 one single each month will bring on the longest summer hamburg has ever seen. featuring fresh, unreleased, single-quality tracks by the pingipung artists springintgut, peter presto, hey, aj holmes, goto80, iso68, and james dina4. the artwork comes from c.i.alex (golden pudel club hamburg). each release is strictly limited to 200 copies! two straight bouncers from andi otto aka springintgut open the series. after touring through india last winter, he brought home some antique vinyl records with south indian string music. these have been micro-sampled for the tracks, overdubbed with his own cello playing and a drum machine. two odes to the animals in bangalore, the eagles above, and the dogs underneath.

after a few years releasing singles under different monikers, brooklyn producer lou teti launches his own label, tigers on a leash, with the debut >get away< as a certain way to kick things off right. the original is an almost hypnotic electro-builder with an 80s touch, yet with a sound thats still firmly planted in 2011. even though tetis vocals are used more like another instrument than as a center piece, sneaking in and out against the guitars and synths, it s still the kind of memorable vocal line that you will find ringing in your head as you wake up. drop out orchestras club cut is a just that, a cut to get any club moving. in true doo style, they take a great original and create something special, but completely different. jkrivs deep&disco mix takes deep to a new low, with a breakdown thats truly epic. and finally theres mario basanovs remix. a beautiful deep house groover like only mario can supply.

it is spring time! fitting for this time of year, the trio of iww celebrates their first lp with housy sounds. fabian kranz, co-founder and iww-resident, sets this label debut of, together with remixes from alex q and andrea di rocco, with his new tech-house project mr. smiley guy. the a-side resembles a jazz club ambience, whereat the remix from alex q who uses dominant string instruments, which entice to dreaming and awakes spring feelings. the b-side is also dominated by warm sound and lovely vocals, with a more minimal remix from andrea di rocco.

geno records first release comes to you from belgium based dan d. dan comes from a traditional of both classical and jazz traditions. dan also developed a love of latin dance in his youth. once moving to berlin in 2001, dan was further influenced by the house sounds of the original panorama bar. dan himself has continued on to dj some of berlins best parties/venues including beatstreet, watergate, arena, maria, and the new panorama bar. club der visionäre has also been very important to dans musical growth. dan has had the opportunity to cut his teeth playing 10 hour marathon sets during his regular appearances since 2004. furthermore, he appeared in clubs like rote sonne (munich) and decadance (gent, belgium). friends like tobi neumann and dinky got him into production in 2003. dans first vinyl release on district of corruption lead to praise from some of the best djs in the business. the african market is quite an evolved sophomoric release for dan. the title track, african market, is a pulsating but stripped down organic percussive journey. afro-cuban rhythms lovingly exchange energy with warm analog synths and crisp techno electronic beats. the flip side, el baile, is a slow burning house jam. el baile features eerily reverberated studio recorded vuvuzela, crisply saturated jazz keys, and the same pumping afro-cuban rhythms that sets dans sound apart from others.

new cat on the astro lab camp, timothy j fairplay from the battant band, after good releases on kill the dj, andrew weatheralls rotters golf club, live at robert johnson tim gave us couple of great tracks with his best carpenter mood, it was so hard to choose, we took 3 of them and asked our favourite producer mr andrew weatherall to remix one, he turn the sleigh ride/blizzard into this slow techno atmosphere. on the b side astro lab zntn remixed >general arrived< and turned the original into an amazing dancefloor tune, something close to the optimos works.

new leng act mountaineer bring us their debut 12 inch for the label as a precursor to their album. the remix treatment here is coming from two great teams! on side-a we have the idjut boys giving us yet another genre defying direction with a sumptuously dubby take on golden chalk. this one keeps on building from a delicate strummed intro, with delayed vocals, the track slowly draws you into a deep sea of sub bass and guttural wobbles. the idjuts deft hands once again delivering a lesson in subtlety and arguably one their finest works to date. on side-b tuff city kids rework the always coming home in a wholly different way, fat 80s dub bass, hefty hand-claps and linn drum fills underpin some soaring atmospheric synth work. with the vocals dropped, this is the side for the deep-end of the club, as tcks gerd jansen well knows. a must have 12 inch!

the mighty antidandruff returns after few years of sleep. this time its a bit more conceptual ep than usually. ep starts with a moody sandwell mix of >kulenty< (released on pvc8) produced probably by regis in the berlins sandwell district busy studios. the other 3 tracks are by rumenige & loktibrada resp. loktibrada alone, with each track the tempo is rising up a bit and its all club techno, of course.

although the damage music berlin label is still in its youth, the creative input is not holding its breath too long: after the success of the damage release dirty doering >loco remixes<, this issue presents a new 12ep that puts even more excellent and fresh urban breath into modern club music. first up is >whats the point?<, a collaboration with label chief alexander kowalski together with jake the rapper. by teaming up with jake the urban electronic guerilla, a cunning and highly-effective headbanging is produced, harvesting a moody and darkly infectious spoken text. >it all boils down< ... what unfolds here is an intense yet uncluttered soundtrack surrounding a mystifying message of sexually metapysical proportions crafted and totally engaging.

act re act: daaaaark is the typical expression used to define act re act. uplfting synths, spastic latin percussion, and a pummeling 808 bring some light for the harder moments.
ms. minnie: kitty ms. minnie, age 39, was caught saturday evening sneaking a 909 into the club and having her way with the hi-hats. she ripped it up in honor of larry heard before being forcefully removed by security. the whereabouts of said 909 are unknown.
the origin: a minimal bit of italo kit shoved through the hatch of a nasa shuttle (it was recorded in houston, tx after-all) and sent around several moons of several planets. what was discovered is only now being made available for public consumption.

the much anticipated follow up to last years balearic opus >panorama suite< by max essa. >heartache (original 86 club mix)< - this funky early nineties inspired house groove seems to be channeling all the best bits of fpi project yet manages to still sound brand new and wholeheartedly relevant. this track is heading for the dancefloor - unashamedly uplifting and funky - a real breath of fresh air. sample free and featuring max on vocals. i challenge you to not move to this. >feel it in your body< is a more chuggy, dubby affair featuring a vocal chant not dissimilar to e-man grooving. funky guitars groove the track along until the synths lift it up to the next level. trancey balearic synth slo-mo goodness.

as a final hurrah on hybrids most excellent fourth studio album >disappear here<, we are pleased to present some great new mixes of one of our favorite tracks on the album.
new prog-trance kings myon and shane 54 are first up with their skillful progressive re-interpretation. the pair add lush strings to the original while keeping things chunky and melodic.
retroid keeps the breaks flag flying with his beefy beats, slick production and polished sheen. to round things off for all those hybrid-istas who have been asking for the instrumental ... here it is!

the labels hiatus is over. a few years have passed and neurhythmics resurfaces after like-minded souls decided to bring it back. juergen junker returns with a 3 track 12inch that stems from a live-set concept he created over the last few months. raw as you like, it takes a distinct bow towards the earlier days of the windy city. dirty, knackered sounding drums, and cut-up vocal bits fused together to a driving force that is hard to resist. the a-side , >unclean mutha< is a definitely x-rated affair that has the jacking feel built right into arrangement. on the b-side, this is suitably followed up by >working her for real<, which is what we want to happen when this is being played in the club. work it, baby..! the second track, >honey< with its camp statement vocals and similar vibe rounds things up for the first part.

>forever< is a dark epic hardtechno anthem with a melodic and deep string break. the b-side contains >bassface<, a hard club stomper with repeating vocals of dj rush. limited edition on red vinyl

it seems that dapayk used to listen to a lot of hip-hop when he was younger. his latest ep for still vor talent >let go< has got these influences written all over it. the title track starts out with a male vocal and some sounds that sound a little like scratching before things then quickly head into the direction of the club. the vocal by singer camara could not be more reminiscent of 80s house music and this track has got all the soul and groove of this era. beneath the delicate vocal and sound patterns lies a wonderfully simply staccato house groove that is sure to get everyone shuffling. on the flip things get a little more techy with >nneka<, a deeper and more melodic tech house glider that gently takes the listener towards a harmonic state of mind. beautifully arpeggiated pads, a warm soulful groove and some reverbed vocals make this one. last up is the sample-based tech-house stomper >upyo< featuring production partner jon hester. this is loop heaven: a pushy beat loop with many snares, reverse samples and an unexpected saxophone melody make this one the perfect changeover track from warm-up to peak-time. this ep shows dapayks skills to combine many musical influences into his unique still of tech-house music
